We all wear clothes and we all want to spread hope over things like addiction and human trafficking. Getting recovery’s message of hope out there is challenging. Dead religion doesn’t care, stigmas make it taboo, and shame keeps truth hidden. Let’s rattle religious norms, break down stigmas, and blow the shackles off shame. God made us for this. We do this through apparel where we inspire the never give up and help fund recovery efforts through portions of sales.
We exist to push back the darkness of hell and point toward freedom. We aim to raise awareness, lessen stigmas, equip more to be on mission, and together fund ministries working in recovery from addiction and sex trafficking. While addiction may not be in your personal story, we believe addiction ultimately affects ALL of us, and we ALL must work together to spread the hope of freedom. We do this sharing stories of hope and through our various apparel lines.
Choose RCVRY started as a crazy idea God gave me in the summer of 2019 while on vacation in Hawaii. Hawaii and Alaska share a connection as fringe states from the rest of the US, and we each have beautiful native cultures indigenous to our lands. Yet the darkness of addiction attacks these cultures and all people across our world for that matter. Addiction is truly no respecter of cultures or locations.
Personally, Jesus set me free from a pornography/sex addiction, and today I get to make a difference in the lives of men and women coming out of all sorts of addictions across Alaska. I’m a husband, father, pastor, disciple maker, and get to work at a local faith-based sober home in Soldotna, Alaska. Run by family and friends, Choose RCVRY is a small Alaska-based brand that flows from a passion to spread hope with the world. We ship worldwide and pray to impact as many people as possible!
The company is more than just another lifestyle apparel brand. We use several lines to push forward a life and death mission. Addiction Recovery is a life and death matter, a lifestyle, and a mission. We seek to shed light on the need for recovery and support recovery efforts by donating a portion of sales to recovery ministries from addiction and human trafficking.
Addiction destroys lives… whether in the hell of your own past or your present or the death grip it holds on a loved one. God never designed us to wade through the muck and mire of addiction. From alcohol to other forms of substance abuse, from sex to porn, from food to mental health, the complex issues surrounding addiction results in misery and heartache. Increasing rates of trauma and mental illness further compound this brokenness in our world. Other issues related to religious hurt or even human trafficking all form a world in desperate need of hope and redemption.
But, we have hope, and change and freedom is possible! All these examples of hell affects so many of us across the world. Whether in your own story or in the life of a loved one, this darkness creeps in and destroys. BUT the stories of recovery are so freaking amazing!! We believe they need spread as loud as possible! That's what we're about... amplifying hope and empowering more people to shout the hope of recovery!
We believe in dreaming big and making a dent in this world for good. God made us in His image and gives us the innovation and inspiration to create and make a difference with our short lives. Choose RCVRY exists in this spirit. Never give up in this life. Rewrite the story. Make a difference with your life.
