Hey, Derek from Choose RCVRY here. I wanted to jump on here and share a piece of my heart for the Choose RCVRY mission. I call it a mission because from the very start last year, the aim continues to center on raising awareness for addiction recovery. Everything the company does maintains this focus—from some of our designs being conversation starters, to a portion of all profits going to fund a local faith-based transitional home, to most of our models on the site either being in recovery themselves or engaging in helping others being set free from addiction.

More Designs

As we enter 2020, we’ll also be releasing more designs that aren’t our typical Choose RCVRY conversation starters. We’ll never get rid of our bold CR stuff, but we’ll be diversifying our gear to extend the mission of Choose RCVRY so people who aren’t in recovery themselves can still grab some of our gear and still help with the mission! So be on the lookout for more diverse designs being offered!

Spread the Word

Lastly, help us spread the word about Choose RCVRY by grabbing some of our gear and representing it with others in your own community! Specifically, help share the story of Choose RCVRY with others so they know their purchases from us help fund addiction recovery efforts. We’re based in Alaska where we battle high rates of addiction, overdose, and suicide. In our own town (Soldotna), we help support Freedom House through finances and spiritually and physically helping those transitioning through the homes.

Starting and Spreading a Movement

Transformation is happening in Soldotna and other parts of Alaska, and we hope to extend our reach by helping more places across Alaska and beyond!

There is a passage that lately resonates strongly with what we’re seeing God do. Isaiah 61 speaks of God setting the captives free and planting them into great oaks of righteousness. Although Isaiah declared that originally to Israel, we see God doing a similar work today! Our redeemer God is breaking captives free from the death grip of hell and setting them free. The change God wants is not just a better life now, but to transform broken lives into strong oaks of righteousness.

Thankful,

Derek
